AEGEE

AEGEE (Association des Etats Gènèraux des Etudiants de l'Europe) is a european, independent, apolitical, aconfessional student association without any cause of profit. The main purpose is to promote the collaboration and the integration within the university. The association was founded at Paris in 1985 and now consists of more then 17000 membres and is presented in more then 271 universities of Europe (antennas), not only in european countries, but also in a lot of other countries: because of this the association can be concerned as one of the biggest and one of the most important european student associations.

AEGEE is also recognized by the European Comunity and profits of the status as observer by the European Council. Each year there are more then 100 appointments, meetings, conferences al over Europe: from Spain to Ucrain, from Sweden to Turkey,... joined with lots of fun and the pure curiosity for the traditions, the uses and the beauty of the places visited. The association celebrates also local activities (Agora) and particular moments of the year (New-Years-eve, carnival,...). One of the most significant events of AEGEE are the Summer Universities, that are language&cultural-courses during the summermonths, full of pleasure and time to relax!
